….. la isla de las dunas
Gran Canaria es la isla de las dunas de Maspalomas: mucha arena. Por allí anda bastante gente de fiesta, pero también hay zonas más tranquilas, como Meloneras. El interior lo formaron los volcanes igual que en las demás, aunque no se nota tanto como en Tenerife, Lanzarote o La Palma. En mi lista de islas canarias ocupa el cuarto puesto.

Gran Canaria ist die Insel der Dünen von Maspalomas: viel Sand. Dort ist einiges an Partyvolk unterwegs, es gibt aber auch ruhigere Ecken wie Meloneras. Das Landesinnere wurde ebenso von Vulkanen geformt, man merkt es nur nicht so deutlich wie auf Teneriffa, Lanzarote oder La Palma. In meiner Rangliste der Kanaren steht sie auf Platz vier.

Gran Canaria is the island of the Maspalomas dunes: a lot of sand. There is a fair amount of party crowd around, but there are quieter areas too, such as Meloneras. The interior was shaped by volcanoes just like the others, although you notice it less than on Tenerife, Lanzarote or La Palma. On my list of Canary Islands it comes fourth.
